June 8-14 Curtiss lives in Mifflintown and serves as the pastor at Lauvers Mennonite Church. He has served at Lauvers since 2020. Curtiss, and his wife, enjoy spending time outdoors, visiting their adult children, and serving along side their fellow church members to help make the Kingdom of God known and visible to the communities of Juniata County. |
Speaker: Jay Trainer
June 15-21 Jay lives near Rochester, NY and has been a longtime friend of CRC. Over the years Jay has spoken for CRC's TIMS program, Counselor Training Week, and Youth Camps. He is a a pastor, a traveling evangelist, and has served as a college professor with Roberts Wesleyan University. Jay hopes to give encouragement to follow and trust Jesus, even when life is filled with challenges. |
Counselor Training Week
Speaker: Tim Koller
Tim and his family live in Colorado, where he serves on staff at Denver Seminary. Prior to moving out west, Tim was on staff at Lancaster Bible College and was a youth pastor in Reading, PA. Tim and his wife have two children and enjoy being outside as they hike, bike, and explore the beautiful scenes of Colorado. Previously, Tim spent a week at CRC with our TIMS programs as a speaker. |
Day Camp, Discovery Camp, and Pioneer Camp 8-10 Years Old: June 29 - July 4
Speaker: Kathy Hewitt
Kathy and her family have been involved with CRC for many years. Over the years she has had the opportunity to influence the lives of hundreds of campers and counselors with her songs, memorizing scripture, and her Bible teaching. Kathy's life has been changed because of Jesus and she wants others to have the same peace and hope. Kathy and her family live in Roxbury, own a roller skating rink, and she serves at a church in Newville. |
Nurse: Lyndsay Dysinger
Lyndsay and her family live in Port Royal. She currently works at the Lewistown Hospital on 5A which is the medical surgical/oncology floor. She has been at the hospital since 2023. Previous experiences include serving as a nurse in Alaska and in Montana. Her children have attended summer camps at CRC. This will be Lyndsay's first summer serving as a camp nurse. |
Pioneer Camp 10 - 12 Years Old and Horse Camp: July 6 - 11
Speaker: Rebecca Magill
Rebecca and her family live in the New Port area. Many people call her Becca. She is a wife, mom to three children, a designer, baker, horse instructor, and a lover of the outdoors. To her nothing better to me than being outside, soaking up God's beautiful creation, and sharing His Love with others! Becca is also involved with Central PA Youth Ministries' (CPYM) Garden Club that takes place in Millerstown. |
Nurse: Brenda Auker
Brenda lives in Mifflintown and attends church at Cedar Grove BIC Church. At Cedar Grove, she and husband serve as Deacons to help lead meet the needs the of the congregation. Currently Brenda works at Lewistown Hospital. Brenda has served at CRC as a camp nurse for several summers. Pioneer Camp 12 - 14 Years Old: July 13 - 18
Speaker: Kenton Hock
Kenton, and his wife Kelsey, are familiar faces around CRC. Kenton has served as a camp speaker several times over the years. Him and Kelsey love getting to know the counselors and the campers as they give encouragement to keep following Jesus and to recognize him as Lord. Kenton recently served as the youth pastor with a church in West Chester and has served with CPYU, which is the Center of Parent/Youth Understanding. |
Teen Camp: July 20-25
Speaker: Scott Garman
Scott is the pastor at Cedar Heights BIC Church in Clinton County, and has served there for 14 years. He lives in Mill Hall with his wife Laurie, has three children, and a black lab named Utley. Scott's passions are Jesus, hunting, cheeseburgers, volleyball and exploring the outdoors. |
Nurse: Lori Apple
Lori, and her husband Brian, live in McAlisterville and attend Journey Church in Thompsontown. She works with Aetna PA Chip Program as an registered nurse. Outside of work Lori is involved with different women's ministries, spends times with family, and enjoys camping with her husband and friends. This coming summer will be Lori's second summer helping as a camp nurse. |
Nurse: Linda Hosler
Linda, and her husband John, live in Port Royal and attend Cedar Grove BIC Church. Linda worked at Lewistown Hospital for 44 years. She is enjoying retirement but still helps in the Endoscopy department from time to time. Linda and John are involved with their church and enjoy spending time with family and grandchildren. This coming summer will be Linda's second summer helping as a camp nurse. |

Speaker: Jocelyn Pence
Jocelyn has a deep history with CRC. She previous served as a camp counselor and has recently served as a camp speaker for multiple summers. She is the children's pastor at World Harvest Outreach in Chambersburg and serves in the Waynesboro Area School District. Jocelyn loves teaching children and hopes all children will experience the love of Jesus. She also believes adults can learn from children and hopes as we grow older we will keep the child like faith and wonder. Jocelyn authored a book titled, A Child Will Lead Them: Embracing the Father's Heart for Children. Jocelyn and her family live in Waynesboro. |
