Project 3,000 Frequently Asked Questions:
1. What is Project 3,000? Project 3,000 is a 2-year goal to eliminate the debt owed on CRC's White Oak Lodge by the end of 2025. CRC needs 3,000 gifts of $300 to make this happen.
2. Who are the people giving to Project 3,000? The people who have been giving to Project 3,000 have been people impacted by what God has done at CRC, former or current counselors, campers, retreat groups, local community, businesses and those who desire to support an active ministry that focuses on relationships and sharing God's love and plan for salvation through camp ministry.
3. How did Project 3,000 come to be? Project 3,000 came into existence several years ago when Zach (our Executive Director) talked to his friend who is also a director at a camp. Zach’s friend had the goal of finding one million people to give his camp $1. The problem was that neither camp knew one million people. This conversation sparked Zach’s own thoughts to explore what is a reasonable gift that the majority of people could realistically contribute, while keeping the total number of donors also realistic. With a few conversations, the team landed on 3,000 gifts of $300 gifts over 2 years to eliminate the remaining debt. It's a Big Goal, yet we have an even BIGGER God.
4. How can I give to Project 3000? You can give gifts with the link above the FAQs! You can also mail a check to 369 CRC Dr. East Waterford, PA 17021. Please write "Project 3000" on the memo line.
5. What if I can't give a full gift of $300? CRC welcomes you to be part of what God is doing on any level. The $300 is just an amount that most people can find in their budget if they make some sacrifices during the year.
6. We’d like to pledge several gifts over the next two years, how can we let CRC know? If you’d like to make a pledge to commit to one or more gifts for Project 3,000, there is a pledge form link above the FAQs. This is beneficial to CRC, so we can track the 3,000 gifts given and projected incoming gifts over the two years.
7. What does eliminating the Lodge Debt mean to CRC? CRC is free to wisely move forward toward addressing future growth needs. CRC will have an increased revenue stream to ensure future ministry sustainability. CRC will have the flexibility to use yearly donations to maintain our facilities and grounds. CRC and our donors can celebrate the faithfulness of the Lord as a $1.9 million loan was repaid in full. CRC can be resourceful as we expand and create ministry opportunities in order to draw people to Jesus.
8. How can I help with Project 3,000? If you have experienced significant growth in your faith because of the ministry at CRC, share why CRC is important to you and include the link to the giving page on our website.
