WHAT IS TIMS?
TIMS is a week long trip that allows those who participate to serve their neighbors in Juniata County who are in need of physical property work and often in need of spiritual restoration through Jesus Christ. TIMS is a week away where you are able to become aware of the presence of God and learn to see people through the eyes of our Heavenly Father. WHO IS TIMS FOR? TIMS is for the youth groups who believe they have the capacity to create change. TIMS is for those who believe they can encourage others by literally giving courage to those they encounter. TIMS is for youth groups that know Jesus calls them to a vision bigger than themselves. That vision is Christ's Gospel that we enter into as we participate in his redeeming work! WHAT HAPPENS AT TIMS? During the day crews are at their work sites. When they return to camp students have the option to swim in the creek or slide down our 140ft water slide! The athletic field is open for various games and competitions and the canoes are ready for use. CRC also offers our Challenge Course for groups to use for team building and problem solving! Every evening our groups will hear from our guest speaker who will challenge the students to engage their faith and live their life for Christ. In the middle of the week we take half a day to visit a local swimming pond where groups can enjoy the water and rest with friends! |
WHAT TYPE OF WORK DOES TIMS DO?
TIMS will help people with an assortment of projects. Common projects include building decks and ramps, painting, cleaning, and general yard work. I'M NOT A SKILLED WORKER. HOW ELSE CAN I SERVE? Not every leader needs to be a great handyman. We need leaders who are content to invest behind the scenes as they care for students and learn the stories of their homeowners. Listening, caring, and loving are often more important than the ability to construct a deck or knowing how to fix a roof. CAN FAMILIES ATTEND? YES! We believe that nothing is better than serving God with people you love, including your family! The staff at CRC knows it can be hard to leave your family for a week and we invite them to join us at TIMS! Any families that attend will be welcomed to stay in the White Oak Lodge. Cost will be handled on an individual basis. WHAT DOES TIMS COST? The cost of TIMS is $340 per person. HOW DO I REGISTER? 2023 TIMS Registration Packet If you have questions, contact Zach Bashore via email or phone. zach@crctims.org 717-734-3627 |
